Carnival will host more than 100,000 kids every year on its "Fun Ships"! Children will explore their "Fun Ship", enjoy games, parties, talent shows, participate in fun food events, arts, crafts, contests, movies, karaoke parties, ship tours for kids, teen makeovers, photography workshops, art classes and a waterslide at the children's pools on all vessels. Teens will enjoy the 214-foot water slides at the main pool. Playrooms, electronic game rooms, virtual reality machines, teen discos and video arcades are offered on most Carnival ships. Every "Fun Ship" counselor is either college-educated in a related field, has professional childcare experience, or both. Toddlers (Ages 2-5) Camp Carnival's age-appropriate activities are sure to delight all toddlers. We even provide babysitting services in the evenings, so Mom and Dad can get in some "quiet time," too.

Toddlers do not have to be potty-trained in order to be part of Camp Carnival; parents simply need to provide the youth staff with diapers and toiletries for their child.

Children also get their very own menus, featuring all their favorite foods. Hot dogs, chicken nuggets, pizza, macaroni & cheese and spaghetti & meatballs are all available on a Carnival cruise, so even our pint-size guests can feel pampered on their "Fun Ship" family vacation.

We are always looking for ways to make our guests' cruises more enjoyable, and now we've eliminated the need to bring a stroller by providing stroller rentals fleetwide, for a nominal fee.

Children under the age of 2 are not able to participate in all the regular programs we offer to the other age groups. We have designated times where children under 2 can participate in our Fun program. The following times are listed below:

Babysitting - From 10:00 pm - 3:00 am each evening of the cruise. Port Days - From port arrival until 12:00 pm or if a late arrival then for the afternoon until 5:00 pm Family Play Times - Sea days from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Parents and their under 2 child can come into the playroom and utilize the facilities that we have OR parents have the option of leaving their child under the supervision of a Youth Counselor, a babysitting fee applies to the second option.

The babysitting fee is $6.00 per hour and is charged to the guest's Sail & Sign Account. Please check the Camp Carnival Capers for specific days and times.

Other activities for toddlers include: Sing-a-longs, Play dough sculptures, picture bingo, story time, talent shows, puppet shows, memory games, face painting and more...

Teens (Ages 12-14) Camp Carnival makes sure teens have lots of social events with kids their own ages, like dances, talent contests and sports tournaments.

Carnival even has a special shore excursion program designed just for teens. Now your 12- to 14-year-olds can choose from a selection of Camp Carnival recommended tours; they can go as a group to explore many of our exciting destinations with a Camp Carnival chaperone.

If your teen loves to dance, we have great news for them. Every night aboard a Carnival cruise our 12- to 14-year-old guests will have the opportunity to "mix and mingle" at our shipboard dance club from 9:30pm to 10:45pm. After 11:00pm, teens 14 and under can join the youth staff for a variety of activities, such as a late night movie, karaoke or outdoor games.

Teens (Ages 15-17) CLUB 02 From the very moment they step onboard, Club O2 teens are part of a cruise experience unlike anything else. Every activity and event has been specially created with 15-17 year olds in mind. From outdoor activities like basketball, volleyball, ping pong, and pool parties to high energy dance parties lasting late into the night.

During the day activities are more relaxed, where teens can come and "hang" with their friends while watching a movie, listening to the latest music or just playing video games. Karaoke jam sessions are also popular for our rising stars and star wanna be's. Even teen only shore excursions have been set up so teens can enjoy the sites and sounds of our beautiful ports with their peers.

All activities are coordinated by a Club O2 Director, a dedicated staff member that creates the "fun" for our 15-17 year old guests.

Many of our ships feature a lounge dedicated just to the Club O2 program. These lounges feature comfy seating, video monitors, state of the art dance floor and lighting equipment, as well as an area where teens can enjoy Coca-Cola products and various other non-alcoholic specialty drinks.

Club O2 Directors are specifically hired and trained to be the catalyst of the Club O2 program. They create the spark that gets all the teens involved. Each director brings their own unique style to Club O2. Their motivation and dedication to the program ensures that they make the teen cruise experience unlike anything they have ever done before. Many of them act as hosts, entertainers, and DJ's for the teens.

Celebrity offers an award-winning Family Program that provides excitement for everyone, from activities to enjoy together to those specially designed for children, including the fascinating Science Journeys program. The Family Program offers onboard entertainment and activities for children and young adults including child psychology, child development, education and recreation. Activities include treasure hunts, magic shows, junior olympics, karaoke, talent shows, and plenty more! The four-tiered supervised youth programs are specially created for children ages 3-17. Children 3-6 (Ship Mates), children 7-10 (Celebrity Cadets), children 11-13 (Ensigns), and children 14-17 (Celebrity Teens). Each morning a daily program lists the day's activities, games, parties and more. Special areas are set aside for "kids only," such as the Shipmates Fun Factory, teen centers and pools. Guests can feel secure leaving their children with specially trained and educated Celebrity youth counselors.

" Science Journeys", is the latest component of the Family Cruising Program at Celebrity. These 6 hands-on educational voyages into science allow kids to discover insects, experiment with sea life or explore the world of pirates, including Buccaneer's Bounty, which traces the history of pirates, sunken treasure and excavation. Created for children between the ages of 3 to 12, Sciene Journeys are offered daily and last from 30 minutes to 1 hour."

On sailings when the Family Cruising Program is operational, Celebrity offers group baby sitting for children 3 years of age and up from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am for a nominal charge.

On all Vessels except Royal, Tahitian and Pacific Princess you'll find completely equipped Youth Centers. Princess Youth and Teen Centers offer a boatload of fun, featuring everything from arts and crafts to video games, discos, movies, splash pools and more! Programs: Fun Zone for ages 3 to 12 has two age groups: Princess Pelicans, for ages 3 to 7, and Princess Pirateers for ages 8 to 12. Activities include arts and crafts, pool games, scavenger hunts, deck parties, bridge and galley tours, afternoon ice cream parties, videos. Teen Centers, available on most ships, have Nintendo, movies, Karaoke, giant screen TVs, card games, board games, ping pong tables and juke boxes. On the Grand and Golden Princess, teens have a separate Jacuzzi and sun deck area. Also, activities for teens include "bop 'till you drop disco," shipboard Olympics, pizza parties, mini-golf and much more! The Sun, Dawn, Grand, Golden, Coral, Island, Diamond and Star Princess even offer a toddlers' play area.

TV programs appropriate for children, including cartoons, movies and award-winning programs may be shown on the in-stateroom television during the early morning hours, midday and early evening on Sun, Dawn, Sea, Ocean, Grand, Golden, Coral, Island, Diamond, Tahitian and Star Princess. On Royal, Crown, Regal and Pacific Princess, children's programs will run during summer and school holidays when 20 or more children sail.

As part of the Princess Kids program, Junior cruisers will also be able to participate in two special dinner evenings designed for each age group. Younger passengers will enjoy dinner without parents and in the company of newfound friends and counselors in one of their ship's many eateries. For teens, one of the two evenings will feature a special evening get-together in one of the main dining rooms, complete with group photograph and a night out to enjoy Princess' many evening offerings.

Scheduled on select seasonal sailings, the California Science Center, will deliver entertaining interactive science activities for children aboard Princess ships. Whale watching, coral reef studies, building and racing sailboats, marine biology studies and squid dissection are just some of the new activities that may be offered. Princess youth staff will also facilitate National Wildlife Federation's (NWF) environmental education programs, with kids receiving Ranger Rick™ activity books and other learning materials helping our young passengers to connect with their surroundings and foster awareness of their environment. Youngsters who participate in Princess Kids events will take home a limited edition member of Pete's Pals, as a way to learn more about threatened and endangered species in the areas in which Princess sails. Each year Princess will issue a specially designed plush animal depicting a species in danger. Princess has also teamed up with a fun environmental program called Save Our Seas, created by the California Coastal Commission and the Center for Marine Conservation. Kids will participate in activities specially designed to teach them about the oceans and marine life.

For children ages 3-12, kid-sitting is available at a fee of $5.00 per hour per child, except on Royal, Tahitian, and Pacific Princess.

The fun and flexible, complimentary Kid's Crew™ Program is designed for kids from 2 to 17. The well-trained conselors offer and age-appropriate array of fun-filled options so kids can get as much excitement out of the cruise as you do during days at sea. OnNCL, your kids can also learn while they are having fun! With everything from parties and video arcades to stimulating learning sessions, we provide so much fun we know your kids wil have the trip of a lifetime! Every minute they spend in Kid's Crew™ is carefully supervised by our staff of youth counselors from leading universities and organizations. Prior to coming aboard, they attend a special training course on team and confidence building, communication skills, safety and working with children who have special needs. Together they've come up with an impressive bag of tricks for your kids. There are circuses, crafts, parades, sports, games, stories and parties. Campouts with flashlights and tents, and cooking classes where they can make pizza or pancakes with funny faces. There is T-shirt painting, face painting, poolside root beer floats, treasure hunts and sand castle competitions on our private island. There are even shore excursions designed just for families.

You can make it a family affair in one of the elegant dining rooms, or have dinner for two while the kids are served up meatballs and spaghetti. There are eight delicious children's menus to tempt the most finicky eaters. Of course, there's always peanut butter and jelly on hand, just in case.

Activities are organized according to age group, as follows:
Junior Sailors (ages 2-5) Activities for Junior Sailors are now available year-round. Junior Sailors are amused by storytelling, T-shirt painting, arts and crafts, face painting, magic shows, and Circus at Sea. Outdoor and indoor games provide endless hours of fun.

First Mates (ages 6-8) First Mates participate in wacky cooking classes, decorative T-shirt painting, sing-alongs, and poolside root beer float parties. The "Kid's Crew™ Program" program also coordinates on-shore activities including a treasure hunt and sandcastle building competition on NCL’s private island.

Navigators (ages 9-12) Navigators test their skill at Sega and video games, and search for treasures on scavenger hunts. Evenings are filled with pajama parties, movies, and camp-outs with flashlights and tents.

Teens (ages 13-17) NCL entertains Teens throughout the daytime and into the evening. By day, Teens enjoy pool parties, volleyball and basketball, The Newlymet Game, and trivia contests. Evenings are filled with NCL’s Broadway-style shows and spectaculars, line dancing, teen disco, and special theme parties.

For a nominal fee, NCL also offers group sitting for ages 2 to 12 with the Kid's Crew counselors. Adventure Ocean: Adventure Ocean is a complimentary program of fun and educational activities open to all guests ages 3-17. Children are separated by age: 3 to 5; 6 to 8; 9 to 11; 12 to 14; and 15 to 17. Your child will get to learn about local customs, do cool science experiments, and make great new friends. The 12-14 and 15-17 Adventure Ocean groups allow teens the freedom to come and go as they please for sports, themed parties, movie nights and more. Teens can also meet and relax in the laid-back Living Room lounge, or dance late into the night at Fuel, our teen-only nightclub. To participate in Adventure Ocean, children must be three years of age and potty-trained (no pull-ups or diapers). You can feel confident leaving your children with us because every member of our Adventure Ocean staff holds a college degree in education, recreation, or other related field, or has qualified-equivalent experience working with children ages 3-17. All are certified in CPR.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry
For our youngest guests, we offer a kid's menu featuring all their favorites: pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, peanut butter, and mac and cheese. Kids have their own beverage programs too. The Unlimited Soda Package lets them purchase a fountain soda/juice package so they can enjoy as many fountain sodas and juices as they want. On selected nights, our youth staff hosts dinners in our casual restaurants. It's a great opportunity for kids to eat with other kids and for parents to enjoy a meal alone.

Time for Mom and Dad
As a vacation for the whole family, Royal Caribbean also provides quiet time for Mom and Dad. That can be during the day, while the kids are at their own Adventure Ocean programs, or at night, while the kids are with babysitters. Babysitting is offered both in a group setting, and individually in your stateroom, and can be arranged through Guest Relations upon boarding.

Fisher Price Playgroups:

Voyagers (Ages 9-11) Our Voyagers program is specially designed to blend educational activities with just plain fun. Every cruise is different. But one thing never changes: your child will get to learn about local customs, do cool science experiments, and make great new friends. Adventure Science Conducted by our specially trained Adventure Scientists, this program combines fun and hands-on science experiments. Featured programs include: Fossil Fever, Volcanoes, Space Mud, The Power of the Sun and The Mystery of the Motion of the Ocean. Adventure Art by Crayola® These activities acquaint kids with diverse cultures through art. Voyagers are introduced to the fine art of mask making, pottery, fish kites and porthole dioramas. Other Voyager Games and Theme Activities The X Games, Rockin' Through the Decades, Reggae Beach Party, Scavenger Hunts, List-O-Rama, Backstage Tour, The Art Walk, Win, Cruise or Draw, Talent Show and Sports Tournaments. Out Island Activities on CocoCay SM and Labadee® Voyagers can enjoy Adventure Beach activities on itineraries that call to CocoCay and Labadee. Navigators (Ages 12-14) Our Navigators program is specially designed just for tweens. It's not some structured program of classes. You can come join activities and games when you want to, or just chill in our Living Room with your friends. Guests (Ages 15-17) Our teen program isn't some structured set of classes or rules. We know you're almost an adult, and it's your vacation too. So we give you the freedom you deserve. You can join events all day, or come and go as you want. And we have two great places where you can get away from it all. The Living Room is a laid-back place you can just hang with your new friends. And Fuel is the place where the party is. Open 'til 2 a.m., you can dance, listen to music, or just hang out there.

Royal Caribbean best choices for families are the Voyager Class ships! Active cruisers of all ages - from children to seniors -- will love the Voyager-class ships, making them a favorite for family reunions. Teens have their own disco, DJ booth and soda bar. Plus there's miniature golf, a full basketball court, ice-skating rink, rock-climbing wall and more.
For older children, group sitting is offered in the Late Night Party Zone. The service is offered from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. in our youth facilities. The rate is $5 USD an hour per child. For children at least one year of age, also offered is individual sitting in your stateroom from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. Rates are generally between $8 and $10 USD an hour, depending on the number of children in your family. Payments must be made in cash.

Please note: Children who are not toilet trained and diaper and "pull-up" free are not allowed in the pools or whirlpools on any Royal Caribbean ship.
